Activities 2011-12

College was opened with Hawan ceremony on sept1,2011.All the students were Welcomed by Principal.Dr prabhjot kaur.Staff members oriented the students on different subjects. On the occassion occasion the chairman Somjeetpal ji ,Vice chairman PiareLal and othercollege management dignitaries were present.

On 5th sept,2011 teachers day was celebrated .Different activities like quiz competition,essay writing were organized.

On 16&17th sept,Talent Hunt competition was organized. The students show their talent through different activities. The Chief guest of occasion was Maa Amrita. On the occasion the chairman Somjeetpal ji ,Vice chairman PiareLal Sharma,Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur and all other staff members were present .Principal presented the token of love to guests.

Shahed Bhagat Singh B’day celebrated on 27th sept,2011.Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur addressed the students. A drama showing Bhagat Singh’s life was also played by students.

Workshop cum Exhibition competition was organized on 12th &13th sept,2011.The experts of occasion were Mr.Binderpal & Mr.Ranjit singh.They guided the students on different skills. Principal dr prabhjot kaur thanked the guest and payed a token of love.

On the eve of Karva Chauth, a Mehndi competition was organized .Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur and Satinder Kaur judged the students .All the staff members were present at that time.

Yoga camp was organized in the college on 21st & 22nd Oct,2011.Yoga expert Mr.Gurtej Singh trained the students and told about the benefits of yoga .Principal Dr. Prabhjot Kaur & Satinder Kaur presented the token of love to guest.

On eve of Diwali ,an inter-house Lamp&Diya making competition was organized.Kalpana Chawala House was declared 1st in lamp making .Principal Dr. Prabhjot Kaur honoured the students. The staff members Mr.Satinder kaur,Rishma kakkar,Kiranjeet kaur,Sarabjeet kaur ,Gurpreet kaur ,Rajveer kaur,Mr.Parminderpal,Vishavjeet Sharma,Manorlal were also present.

An inter-house chess competition was held on 29th Oct,2011,Laxmi Bai House won the competition and all the staff members were also present.

Punjab Day was celebrated on 1st Nov.2011.Mrs Satinder Kaur told the importance of this day. The various activities like quiz competition. 12)On Nov,2011, college won 1st position in making ‘Greeting Cards’, 2nd in ‘Embroidary’,3rd in ‘Crochet& Magazine’ holder in inter college competition organized by Desh Bhagat College of Education, Mandi Gobindgarh.

Skill in Teaching’ competition was organized on 19th Dec,2011.

On Dec,2011 College got 4th position in inter-college Yoga competition in ‘Inter-college Yoga Championship’ organized by Mata Sundari Girls College Dhadde(Bti)

Lohri was celebrated in the college

Create out of Waste ‘competition was organized on 21st jan,2012. Students made Greating cards Magazine Holder,Flower Pot and other extra creative items.

’Girl Child Day’ was celebrated on 24th jan,2012. Mr.Satinder Kaur told the importance of this day to students. A speech competation was also organized.

On 25th jan,2012 Republic Day was celebrated.Student presented many items like songs,speech and poem etc.All the staff members Mrs Satinder Kaur,Rishma kakkar,Sarbjeet kaur ,Kiranjeet kaur,Gurpreet kaur ,Rajveer kaur,Mr. Parminder paul,Mr Vishavjeet and Monharlal were present.

’Kite Flying Competition ‘and Poster Making Competition was organized on Basant Panchmi. Students participated very excitedly in these items. Principal Dr. Prabhjot Kaur honoured the winner students.

‘Eco Green Day’ was celebrated on 28th jan,2012. Chairman Mr.Somjeetpal, Vice Chairman PiareLal Sharma & principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur planted the plants. Satinder Kaur made the studentsaware about the preservation of nature.

’Annual Sports Meet ‘was organised on 3rd &4th feb,2012.S.H.O. Beant Kaur was the chief guest and special guest was Amanpreet Kaur, National Boxing player. The main events of meet were 100 mtr race Long Jump, Shotput ,Discuss Throw,Chatti Race,High Jump etc. Winners were honoured by the Chief Guest,chairman Somjeetpal,V.C.Pyarelal& Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur.Harmanjot Kaur was declared ‘Best Athlete’ &Meena was ‘1st Runner Up’ of the college .‘Kalpana Chawla House was announced as the ‘Best House’. All the staff members were also present at the moment.

’Education Trip’ was arranged by college on 3rd &4th feb,2012. The Golden Temple &Jalian Wala Bagh were the main attraction.Students also watch the prade at ‘Vahga Border’ in the evening. All the students enjoyed the tour.

The Spot Teaching Aid competition

College won 3rd position in making ‘On The Spot Teaching Aid ‘competition organised by Guru Gobind Singh College Of Education, Talwandi Sabo on feb 11,2012.

The students of college shows wonderful performance in ‘3rd Annual Inter College Athletic Meet’ in Punjabi University from 14th feb to 16th feb 2012.College won 2 gold medals in 100 mtr &Broad Jump,5 Silver medals in 800mtr & relay race ,2 Bronze medals in discuss throw & 200mtr race events.

On 21st feb,2012 ‘World Mother Language Day’ was observed. The activites like slogan writing & essay writing were done. Principal Dr. Prabhjot Kaur share dher views with students & told the students about the efforts done for the enrichment of mother language all over the world.

‘National Science Day’was celebrated on 28th feb,2012. On this occasion an inter-house quiz competition was organized by science club Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur honoured the winners.

College celebrated Inter-National woman’s day on 8th march,2012,The competitions like Collage Making ,Quiz & Speech were done. All the staff members Mrs Satinder Kaur, Rishma Kakkar, Kiranjit kaur ,Sarabjit Kaur, Gurpreet Kaur, Rajveer Kaur, Mr. Parminderpal ,Vishavjeet Sharma, Manoharlal. were present.

Festival of colours was celebrated on 8th march,2012.

Celebration of Martyrdom of S.Bhagat Singh , Rajguru and Sukhdev was on 23rd march 2012.

A seven days N.S.S.Camp was organised by the girls of ‘Mata Maiserkhana College of Education for girls’, Maiserkhana from 5th April to 11th April. The camp was in- augrated by the Principal Dr. Prabhjot Kaur and she told about the importance of N.S.S Camp in life. The camp was undertaken by N.S.S.Camp organizer,Kiranjeet Kaur.During the camp all the girls maintained the near by areas and implanted the saplings.A seminar was organised,’Save Environment’ in which they gave their different views regarding the preservation of the environment . A part from this a rally was also organised by student related to social evils like female infanticide, illiteracy and drug addiction.A cultural programme was organised by the students on the closing ceremony of the camp. The Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur and camp organizer, Kiranjeet Kaur gave away the certificates to the volunteers for their active participation in the camp for making the camp successful all the staff members, Vice Principal Satinder Kaur, Mrs. Rishma Kakkar, Sh. Manoharlal,Ms.Rajvir Kaur, Mrs Sarbjeet Kaur ,Ms Gurpreet Kaur ,Sh. Parminder paul and Sh. Vishavjeet Sharma were also present at the moment.

Alumni Meet was organized in the college on 20th April,2012.The Chairman Somjeetpal Sharma, Vice Chairman Piare Lal Sharma and members of the managing committee were the guests of honour.The Principal of the college,Dr.Prabhjot Kaur welcomed the Alumnee’s of all the previous sessions.The office bearer were announced.

Mata Maiserkhana College organized the farewell party for the B.Ed student of this session (2011-12).The Principal, Dr.Prabjot Kaur ,Chairman, Somjeetpal Sharma and Vice Chairman, Pairelal Sharma gave their heartiest wishes to the students for their bright and successful future. On the occasion students performed giddha, dance, song, fun games etc. The students shared their sweet moments that were related to the college. The staff members Mrs. Satinder Kaur , MrsRishma Kakkar, Sarabjeet Kaur, Kiranjeet Kaur, Rajveer Kaur, Gurpreet Kaur, Bhupinder Kaur, Jaspreet Kaur, Manoharlal, Parminder Paul Sharma, Vishavjeet were present at the moment.
