Activities Session 2012-13

College was opened with “Hawan Ceremony”. Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur welcomed the new students and wished them for their brilliant futur .Mrs.Satinder Kaur introduced the lecturers to students. All the lecturers provided basic information related to their own subjects to the students.

College magazine “Aashirwad” was released by chairman Somjeetpal ji and Vice chairman Piare Lal and other committee members.Chairman Somjeetpal ji congratulated the Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur, Mrs.Satinder Kaur and all other staff members and students on the occasion.

On Aug6,2012 a programme under the inchargeship of Mrs.Kiranjeet Kaur was organized by “ Planning Forum” Rajeena told the students about the harmful effects of war.Mrs. Satinder Kaur shared her views with students. All the staff members were also present at the moment.

Independence day was celebrated on Aug 14,2012.On this occasion the various activities like quiz competition, speech, song & poetry were organized .Winners were honored by Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur.

An Inter-House “Create Out of Waste” competition was organized by Arts Club on Aug 18,2012 under the inchargeship of Mrs.Satinder Kaur .All the students participated in it. The different items in which students participated were Pot Making With Flowers, Magazine Holder, Create Out Of Waste Items ,Pen Stand and Wall Hanging. Winners were honored by Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur.She appreciated the efforts of the Art Club.

On Aug 21st ,2012 a tree plantation programme was organized by N.S.S unit. Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur told the volunteers about the ways how we can save our earth and keep environment clean. About 60 sapling were planted on this day.

An Inter-House chess competition was organized in college campus on Sept 1,2012 under inchargeship of Mrs. Kiranpreet Kaur by Sport Club.Manpreet Kaur (609) from Mother Teresa House got the 1st position. All the staff members were present at that time.

On 5th sept,2012 Teacher’s Day was celebrated by Hindi Association under the inchargeship of Mr.Manoharlal.Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur,all the staff members and students paid tribute to Dr.Radha Krishnan. On this occasion “Extempore Competition” was organized.

Two day’s “Talent Hunt” competition was organized in college campus on Sept.6th, 2012.Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur by lightening the lamp inaugurated the function. All the students participated in various activities like Poetic Recitation, Group Shabad ,Solo Song, Elocutions ,Group Song, Rangoli, Quiz competition, Wall Painting, Solo Dance ,Mono Acting etc. Chief Guest Chairman Mr.Somjeetpal Sharma and Vice Charirman Piarelal Sharma prized the winners. Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur thanked the guests and presented a token of honour.

College participated in ‘Inter-College chess competition’ which was held at Mata Gujri College,Fatehgarh Sahib from Sept.10,2012 to Sept. 11,2012.A Team of four students members participated in it and got the fifth position competiting with 32 teams Mrs.Kiranjeet Kaur was their team incharge.The members of team were Reetu Rani,Tripta Rani,Sukhdeep Kaur and Manpreet Kaur was the captain.

‘Library Day’ was celebrated in college campus under the inchargeship of librarian Ms.Gurpreet Kaur .The various activities like Speech &Quiz competition was organized on the theme library.Swarnjit Kaur from Mother Teresa House got the 1st position in speech competition. At the last librarian Ms.Gurpreet Kaur told the students about the importance of library.All the staff members were also present at that time. Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur appreciated the motivative efforts of Ms.Gurpreet Kaur.

Hindi Divas was celebrated on 14th Sept ,2012 in college campus by Hindi Association under the in chargeship of Mr.Manoharlal. On this occasion the activities like Essay Competition, Speech, Quiz were organized. Lect. Mrs.Rishma Kakkar & Mrs Sarbjeet Kaur were the judges.Davinder Kaur got first position in speech competition. Winners were prized by Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur.

World Ozone day was celebrated in college campus by Maths & Science Association under the inchargeship of Miss.Rajveer Kaur. , told the students about the importance of ozone layer for human beings.Reetu Rani told the students about the formation of ozone layer and about human activities which are responsible for the depletion of ozone layer.All the staff members were also present .

On 21st sept international peace day was celebrated by Planning forum under the inchargeship of Mrs.Rishma Kakkar. On this occasion an inter-house speech competition was organised .Rosy Rani from Marie Curie House got the first position.Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur shared her views with the students.

A seven days N.S.S.Camp was organised in college campus from sept20,2012 to sept 26,2012 under the inchargeship of programme officer Mrs.Kiranjeet Kaur .On the first day the inauguration of camp was done by chairman Somjeetpal & Mrs. Suman Sharma by lighting the lamp .Then Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur & Guests planted the saplings. The various activities performed by N.S.S volunteers during camp are as follows:- -)A Seminar on ‘Preservation of Environment’ -)AIDS Awareness programme ,A Rally was also organised by N.S.S volunteers in the village. -)A rally on female forticide. -) A rally against dowery system & intoxicants. -)A visit to ‘Anath Ashram’ On seventh day a cultural programme was organized .Sarpanch S.Sukhdev Singh were the chief guest .They honoured the ‘Best Volunteer’ Ninderjeet Kaur.Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur presented a token of love and honour of the guests.

On 27th sept,Birthday of S.Bhagat Singh was celebrated in college campus under the inchargeship of Mrs.Kiranjeet Kaur. Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur & all staff members paid a tribute to Shahed S.Bhagat Singh .On this occasion an Inter-House Singing Competition & Quiz competition was organized .Amandeep Kaur from Kalpana Chawala House got first position in singing. Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur prized the winners.

On 1st Oct,2012, ‘World Vegetarian Day’ was celebrated by Maths and Science Association under the inchargeship of Miss.Rajveer Kaur .On this day an Inter-House Extempore competition was organized .Mrs Satinder Kaur & Mrs Rishma Kakkar were the judges. Manpreet Kaur from Mother Teresa House got the first position .Lect. Rajveer Kaur told the students about the importance of being vegetarians.

‘Senior Citizen Day’ was celebrated on Oct 3rd ,2012 in college campus by Planning Forum under the inchargeship of Mrs .Rishma Kakkar . On this occasion an Inter-House Poetry & Speech Competition were organized. Amandeep Kaur from Kalpana Chawala House got the first position in poetry competition .Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur prized the winners.

Two days Workshop Cum Exhibition was held in college campus on 15th and 17th Oct. Students prepare models under the guidance of concerned lectures .Mr.Charanjeet Ram from Guru Arjun Dev school were the chief guest.He observed the models keenly and gave guidance regarding preparation of models.Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur thanked the chief guest and gave a token of honour. Winner were also prized. All the staff members were also present at that moment.

On 1st Nov, Punjab Day was celebrated in college campus by Punjabi Association under the inchargeship of Mrs. Sarabjit Kaur . On this occasion group dance, solo dance, solo song was presented by the students . An inter- House Mehndi Competition was also organized on this occasion. Mother Teresa scored the first position, Lakshmi Bai scored the 2nd position and Annie Besant House and Kalpana Chawala House scored the 3rd position in this competition.Principal Dr prabhjot kaur congratulated the winners.

An inter- house Rangoli and Lamp Making Competition was organized under the incharge ship of Mrs. Kiranjeet Kaur On eve of Diwali . In Competition Malindi from Queen Victoria House and Sarabjeet from Lakshmi Bai House scored the 2nd position. In Lamp Making Competition Annie Besant House scored the 1st position .Mother Teresa House and Sarojini Naidu House scored the 2nd position .All the staff members were also present at that moment. Winner were appreciated by principal Dr. prabhjot kaur.

A visit to ‘Science Express’ was organized by Mata Maiserkhana College of Education under the inchargeship of Mrs.Rishma Kakkar & Miss Rajveer Kaur by Science Association. Students gain wonderful imformation from this express. Many species which are close to disappear were shown. Different models about solar system, agriculture, create out of waste, different body system were displayed .Science Experts were giving information regarding different things to visitors.

Mata Maiserkhana College of Education organized a visit to ‘Book Fair’ held in Bathinda on Nov.3rd ,2012.under the inchargeship of Librarian Miss.Gurpreet Kaur.There were near about 85 stalls regarding different subjects. Different new magazines, various competition books, general knowledge books were also displayed. Students were very excited to see this and they got a lot of information regarding books.

Our college participated in 'Lok Mela ' organized by Punjabi Uni.Patiala, On Nov.19&20th ,2012. Our 12 students participated in events like 'Fancy dress competition, Kadai, Kroshia, Guddia Ptole,Rassa Vatna ,Inoo Bnauna,Khidho Bnauna, Pidhi Bunna, Mitti de bartan, Stapu, Rassi Vatna ,Geete Playing. Karamjeet Kaur got 3rd position in Geete Playing.

On 15th Dec,2012 'Skill in Teaching Competition ' was organised in Mata Maiserkhana College of Education under the inchargeship of Mrs.Rishma Kakkar . Students participated keenly the compition. Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur honoured the winners in different subjects and encouraged the students.

On 22th Dec, 'Computer Literacy Workshop' was organised in Mata Maiserkhana College of Education under the inchargeship of Computer instructor Mrs.Bhupinder Kaur for the students and the staff .On this occasion "Computer faculty Test' was held.Computer instructor Mrs Bhupinder Kaur explained in details about the use of projector and the concept of stored data keyboarding, mousing (using input devices) Plugging in and turning the computer on using/understanding user-interface elements (e.g., windows, menus, icons, buttons, etc.) composing, editing and printing documents, the ability to communicate with others using computers through electronic mail (email) or instant messaging services, managing and editing pictures (from cell phones, digital cameraor even scan .Opening files and recognizing different file types Multimedia literacy and about power presentation. Gurjeet Kaur of (roll no 724) Annie Besant House got first position in the computer faculty Test.

On 24th Dec, 2012 'Christmas' was celebrated in Mata Maiserkhana College of Education under the inchargeship of Mrs Kiranjeet Kaur by the English Association. Function started with the 'Candle' ceremony .The Different funny games were organised for the students. principal Dr.prabhjot kaur, Staff members and students cut the cake.Principal Dr. Prabhjot kaur gave her best wishes for the new year to all.

Alumni meet was organised under the supervision of Mrs.Rishma Kakkar in college on 12 jan, 2013.The College Chairman Somjeet pal,Vice Chairman Piara lal Sharma and members of managing committee were the guests of the ocasion. The principal Dr.prabhjot kaur of college welcomed the alumnae's of all previous sessions. The different office bearer's were also announced .Cultural activities were also performed by students . All the alumnae's were invited on the stage to share their views & experiences. The college honoured the alumni's . Mrs.Rishma Kakkar paid vote of thanks.

"Lohri De Rang Sade Sang" was organized in college campus on 12th Jan,2013 by Punjabi Association under the inchargeship of ,Mrs. Sarbjeet Kaur.It was started in a ceremonial way by lighting "Lohri" & Praying to almighty for prosperity and abundance by all.On this occasion students performed solo dance, group dance , solo song . group song & skit etc. college chairman Somjeet Pal Sharma addressed the students and congratulated them on this eve. At the end Principal Dr. Prabhjot Kaur paid thanks and presented a token of honour & reverence to the guests. All the staff members were also present.

Republic Day was celebrated on 25th Jan,2013 in Mata Maiserkhana College of Education organized by the planning formum in the inchargeship of Mr.Manoharlal.The program was startedwith 'National Anthan' On this occasion an inter-house quiz competition,speech,songs competition was organized. In patriotic song Baljeet Kaur from Sarojini Naidu House got the 1st position & Amandeep Kaur from Marie Curie House got the 2nd position. Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur honoured the winners and gave certificates. Mr. Manoharlal & Mrs. Rishma Kakkar shared their views with students .All the staff members were present .

On 24th Jan ,2013"Girl Child Day" was celebrated under the inchargeship of Mrs.Kiranjeet Kaur in Mata Maiserkhana College of Education. Baljeet Kaur (775) share her views on the importance of this day. Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur motivated the students to identify their strenght because they are the makers of the society.All the staff members were present on the ocasion

In Mata Maiserkhana College of Education 4th Annual Athletic Meet was organised from 30th to 31st Jan under the inchargeship of director of physical education Mrs Kiranjeet Kaur . chairman Mr.Somjeetpal Sharma and vice chairman Piara lal were the chief guest .The meet was started with flag Hoisting ceremony .Torch ceremony was performed by Vaspreet Kaur. The students participated in different events like Long Jump,Discuss Throw ,Javeline Throw ,100mtr race,obstacle race ,Sack race,chatti race,three legged race,skipping on the spot,shot put etc.In 'Tug of War' Sarojoni Naidu House was the winner.Vaspreet was slected as Best Athlete & Kuldeep Kaur as 1st Runner Up..Sarojini Naidu House got the 'Best House' Trophy .Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur honoured the winners .

On 13 Feb,2013 The Birthday of Sarojini Naidu is celebrated in Mata Maiserkhana College of Education by Sarojini Naidu House under the inchargeship of Mrs.Kiranjeet Kaur Principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur ,all other staff members paid tribute to Sarojini Naidu. Baljeet Kaur told the students about the biography of Sarojini Naidu.Various compititions were held. principal Dr.Prabhjot Kaur motivated the students to get inspiration from sarojoni naidu’s life.

On 15th feb “Aai basant udi Patang’was celebrated in Mata Maiserkhana college of Education by hindi Association under the inchargeship of Mr.Manoharlal .The program was started with “saraswati Vandana”principal Dr,Prabhjot Kaur and all other staff members paya tribute to saraswati..Mrs.Kirandeep kaur told the students about the importance of basant.veerpal kaur told the students the avtar’s of Saraswati Maa.poems relating Basant were also sung by students.A kite flying competition was also organized on this occasion principal Dr.Prabhjot kaur congratulate the students on eve of Basant Panchmi.Mr. Manohar Lal told the students about the history of Basant Panchmi, and congratulate the students and give but wishes for their future.All the staff members were also present.

On dated 22-2-2013,an inter quiz competition was organised in Mata Maiserkhana College of Education under the inchargeship of Mrs.Satinder kaur.The Quiz competition eight houses Mother Teresa House, Merie Curie House, Lakshmi Bhai House,Indira Gandhi House,Sarojini Naidu House,Queen Victoria House,Kalpana Chawla House and Annie basent House participated in competition.The first position was gained by sarojini naidu House,and the second position Mother Teresa house,Third Position Kalpana Chawla House .On this occasion ,all the staff members lecturer Rishma kakkar,Lecturer Manohar Lal,Lecturer Sarabjeet kaur,Lecturer Kiranjeet kaur,Bhupinderkaur ,MohitKalsi,Priyanka Sharma,Gurpreet kaur were present.

Two days educational tour was organised from 18.02.2013 to 19.02.2013 under the inchargeship of Mr.Manohar lal , Mrs.Kiranjeet kaur,Mr.parminder pal and Mrs.Sarbjeet kaur with other staff members Students visited Gurudwara Parmeshewar (shekhopura,Patiala), Gurudwara Fatehgarh sahib ,Mata Naina Devi ,Talkat Sri keshgrah sahib,kila Anandgarh sahib,Bauli sahib related to shri Guru Gobind singh ji,Virasat-e-khalsa,(Shri Annadpur Sahib), Gurudwara pariwar vichoda Sahib (Sarsa Nangal),kotla Nihang Ropar.Students gained a lot knowledge about all these historical places.This educational tour was very memorable,enlighting for all the students.

A Seminar was organised on feb 25,2013 on Women Empowerment ‘Myths and Reality’ . The resource person of the seminar was Ms.beant kaur,SHO Bathinda.She Said women must be aware about their rights and duties.On the occasion Jeetinder kaur,karmjeet kaur,tripta,Lovepreet kaur,Inderjeet kaur presented their paper on the theme’’. Ms Beant kaur pacified the quarries of the students also.Dr.Prabhjot Kaur principal paid her gratitude to Ms.Beant Kaur for giving précious information to the students and she added it is the need of the hour we must come forward for the welfare of our family,Society,Cultural and country.she thanked the guest and presented her a token of owner and love on the occasion.

A bank orientation programme was organised under the guidance of Mrs.Satinder Kaur H.O.D. Economics. This orientation programme was conducted by Miaserkhana Branch of state bank of Patiala.Mr.Ajay kumar Manager of S.B.P. Maiserkhana Branch told the students about the bank accounts and different banking schemes .Mrs.Satinder Kaur told the students about the importance of banking sector. In the end Mrs,.satinder kaur thanked all the bank staff members for the programme.

An Extension Lecture on HIV/AIDS Awareness was organized on dated March 11, 2013 by Red Ribbon Club under the guidance of Nodel Officer Mrs.Kiranjeet Kaur .This extension lecture was given by Mr.Narinder Kumar Bassi, State Awardee U. N. AIDS Civil Society .Mr.Narinder Kumar Bassi gave knowledge about the symptoms of HIV patients .He told the students about different ways to prevent HIV & aware them of HIV/AIDS. Students gained lot of knowledge and awarness. Mr.Narinder Kumar Bassi gave bookmarks, edges and literature related to HIV/AIDS awareness to Nodel Officer Mrs.Kiranjeet Kaur. Principal Dr.Pabhjot Kaur and all staff members gave a memorable memento to Mr.Narinder Kumar Bassi. Nodel Officer and expressed her gratitude to Mr.Narinder Kumar Bassi .

Farewell Party ( Roshan –E-Bahaar Kuch Yaadgar Lamhe)Session 2012-13 was held on 27 April 2013 . Miss M.M.C.E contest was won by Miss.Virpal Kaur (737) .
