Activities Session 2016-17

On Aug.16,2016 new session of our college was started with “Hawan Ceremony”. Chairman Sh. Labh Ram gave his best wishes to students for new session. On Aug.17,2016, one day orientation programme was organized. Students were given a very warm welcome by Principal Dr.Satinder Kaur . Dr.Satinder Kaur introduced the faculty members to students. All the lecturers provided basic information related to their own subjects to the students.

On 5th Sep,2016 Teacher Day celebrated in Mata MaiserKhana College of Education by Hindi Association under the guidance of Mrs.Rishma Kakkar .Programme started with Guru Vadna.After this students told about S. Radhdakirshan. Dr. Satinder Kaur told the students to adopt the qualities of Dr.RadhaKirshan and also told the importance of this day.all the students presented on teacher day occassion.

On Sep 07, 2016 Women Awareness Camp was organized by N.S.S. Unit of our college under the guidance of programme officer Kiranjeet Kaur. Resourcer Person of this camp were Mr.Jugraj Singh & Mrs. Harmanjot Kaur .This awareness camp is based on Women hygiene.They demonstrated the proper methods for personal hygiene .All the volunteers listen the important things carefully.At this time all the staff members were present with this camp ,volunteers more aware of about their personal hygiene.At the end ,Dr. Satinder Kaur gave her vote of thanks to the speakers to aware the volunteers .

Hindi Divas celebrated in Mata Maisekhana College of Education For Girls,on Sep.14,2016. Mrs.Rishma Kakkar were the incharge of this function.Students presented their views about Hindi language.Twinkle gave speech on the importance of Rashtra Bhasha in present time and Simarjeet Kaur told about the ways to promote National Language and also recited a poem. Mrs. Dr.Satinder Kaur told the importance of National Language and also all the students present on Hindi Divas occasion.

Two days ‘Talent Hunt Competition’ was organized in college campus on September 16,2016 to September 17, 2016 .Principal Dr.Satinder Kaur inaugurated the function by lightening the lamp .All the students participated in various activities like Poetic Recitation, Group Song ,Solo Song, Solo Dance, Rangoli , Skits, Folk Arts etc. At the end,Principal Dr.Satinder Kaur gave prizes and certificates to position holders.

On September 27, 2016 birthday celebration of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Ji was organized in our college campus by Planning Forum (History) under the guidance of Ms.Sonia Sharma.Students shared their views about life of S. Bhagat Singh Ji. Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur Brar told the students to adopt the Qualities of S. Bhagat Singh Ji.

On Oct,15 2016 Mata Maiserkhana College of Education (For Girls) Organize the Inter-House Mehndi Competition by Punjabi Association under the guidance of Mrs.Sarbjeet Kaur. All houses students participate in Mehndi Compepition. Sapana Bala got the first position Pooja Rani was stood second and Varinderdeep Kaur was on third place. In the end Principal madam Dr. Satinder Kaur distibute the prizes to students and give the congratulations to winner students.

On Oct.15,2016 “Word Animal Welfare Day” was organized by ‘Green Club’ under the guidance of Ms. Gurpreet Kaur. In this programme students gave speech about Wild Life and care of wild animals. They also told about the bad effects of technology and environment on birds and animals. Poster Making competition was also organized. Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur gave prizes to winner students and also told about to save the wild animals.

On Oct.18, 2016, Cultural Programme ‘Khidian Baharaan’ was organized in our college. Students participated in different cultural items like Solo Song, Solo dance, Group Dance, Dress Competition, Skits, Traditional Song , Folk Song , Folk Arts, Rangoli , Painting and Embriodary.students got the different places in different iteams. All the students and staff members welcome the committee members . Management committee members gave prizes and certificate to winners and Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur gave her vote of thanks to management committee members.

On Oct. 21, 2016 N.S.S. programme officer Kiranjeet Kaur organized a seminar on ‘Pollution and its remedies’ in College Campus. Principal Dr.Satinder Kaur was convener and Kiranjeet kaur was co- convener. Volunteers read their papers. Volunteers explained in detail about Pollution , its causes and remedies.

On Oct . 27, 2016 Diwali Celebration Programme was organized by ‘English Association’ incharge Ms. Kiranjeet Kaur in collaboration with cooking Club In charge Mrs. Rishma Kakkar . In this Programme , Inter- House Rangoli, Diya Decoration & Cooking Competition was organized. Students participation was enthusiastic .Cultural items like solo song, solo dance, skits and group dance was organized. In the end Dr. Satinder kaur give the prizes to the winner students.

On Oct.28, 2016, a seminar on National Integration and International Understanding was organized under the guidance of Programme Officer Kiranjeet Kaur .Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur was convener & Ms. Kiranjeet kaur was co-convener of this seminar .Volunteers Manider Kaur presented her paper on National Integration & its importance in present time ; Sapna Bala & Kamaljeet Kaur read their paper on ‘International Understanding and its need in this era’.

On November 01 ,2016, Seminar on ‘HIV/AIDS Awareness’ and ‘ Blood Donation’ was organized by Red Ribbon Club under the guidance of Nodal Officer Ms. Kiranjeet Kaur. Dr.Satinder Kaur Brar was the convener of this seminar . Ms.Kiranjeet Kaur performed duty as co-convener. Peer-Educators Maninder Kaur, Sapna Rani, Sandeep Kaur presented their papers on ‘HIV/AIDS Awareness’- it’s causes or modes of transmission of HIV virus and prevention .Kulveer Kaur and Kamaljeet Kaur presented their papers on and ‘Blood Donation’ and different aspects of blood donation.

On November 11,2016, birthday of Maulana Abul Kalam Ghulam Mohinuddin Ahmed was celebrated as ‘National Education Day’ by N.S.S. unit under the guidance of Programme Officer Ms. Kiranjeet Kaur. Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur garlanded the picture of Maulana Sahib. All the staff members and volunteers pay tribute to him. Programme Officer Ms. Kiranjeet Kaur told about his life and contribution to Indian politics and education.

On November 12, 2016 Slogan Writing Competition was organized by Red Ribbon Club in the guidance of Nodal Officer Ms. Kiranjeet Kaur. ‘HIV/AIDS Awareness’ was the theme of this competition. Sapna Bala got I position , Kamaljeet Kaur II and Maninder Kaur got III position in this competition.

Skill in Teaching Workshop cum Exhibition was held from Dec.01, 2016 to Dec. 02,2016 under the In charge ship of Mrs. Rishma Kakkar.On the first day students prepared models under the guidance of concerned Lecturers .On Second day there was Exhibition in College Campus .Chairman of Mata Maiserkhana of Education .Mr. Labh Ram Sharma and Cashier Mr. Bhupinder Singh and Gursharn Singh were invited as judges for judgement of Models .They appreciated the students .On this Occasion principal Dr. Satinder Kaur Brar Congratulate the students and thanked all the guests .

On January 10 ,2017 Seminar on ‘ Healthy Blood Donation’ was organized by Red Ribbon Club in the guidance of Nodal Officer Ms. Kiranjeet Kaur. Dr.Satinder Kaur Brar was the convener of this seminar . Ms.Kiranjeet Kaur performed duty as co-convener. Peer-Educators Maninder Kaur, Sapna Rani, presented their papers on ‘Blood Donation’ or ‘Healthy Blood Donation’. Jyoti Bala Aggarwal, Payal Goyal and Jaspreet Kaur read their papers on sub topics- Why Blood Donation’ and ‘How to Donate Blood’.Veerpal Kaur and Davinder Kaur gave their presentation on ‘Precautions While Donating Blood’. Students gained a lot of knowledge from this seminar.

Lohri was celebrated in college campus on Jan.13,2016. It was started in a ceremonial way by lighting “Lohri” and praying to almighty for prosperity and abundance by all. On this occasion, students performed solo dance, group dance, solo song and skit etc.

On 18 Jan. 2017 an Extension Lecture on ‘HIV/AIDS Awareness and Life Skills’ was organized by Red Ribbon Club & N.S.S Unit under the in chargeship of Programme Officer/Nodal Officer Ms.Kiranjeet Kaur in our college . The resource persons of this ‘Extension Lecture ’Mr. Narinder Kumar Bassi & Kamal Dutt Sharma . Mr.Narinder Kumar Bassi gave lecture on Life skills with giving daily life examples to students & told students how to survive in this life with the beautification of our ideas and thoughts . In the end Mr. Bassi gave UNO kit to Dr.Satinder Kaur and Ms. Kiranjeet Kaur . After this Nodal Officer Kiranjeet Kaur gave vote of thanks to Mr.Narinder Kumar Bassi & Mr. Kamal Dutt Sharma.

On 26 Jan. Poster Making Competition was organized by Red Ribbon Club under the compeign of ‘Protect Nation from HIV’ under the guidance of Nodel Officer Kiranjeet Kaur . Banti Kaur got I position , Sapna Bala got II position and Maninder Kaur was at III position in this competition.

On Jan.26,2016 Republic Day was celebrated .Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur Brar hoisted the tricolor .Students presented items like patriotic songs, speech and poem etc.

Mata Maiserkhana Colege of Edu.(for girls) organized two days education tour from Feb.23,2016 to Feb.24,2016.Students visited Pushpa Gujral Science City, Jalandhar, Rangla Punjab at Haveli and gained knowledge about our rich culture and traditions.On second day of tour ,students visited Sri Harmander Sahib, Jallianwala Bagh, Company Bagh, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Panorama , Durgeana Mandir and Gurudwara Tarntarn Sahib. The Trip was very educational, illuminating, entertainment and knowledgeable.

International Women’s Day was organized on March 08,2016 by Hindi Association under the guidance of Mrs. Rishma Kakkar . The special guests of this function were Mrs. Kanta Devi, Mrs. Khushpinder Kaur, Mrs. Naresh Rani,Mrs. Sandeep Rani and Mrs. Anu Bala. Guests participated in some funny items. Students participated in Poster Making Competition based on the theme ‘Women Empowerment’ and Collage Making Competition.

Create Out of Waste Competition was organized in the in charge ship of Ms. Sonia Sharma by Art & Craft club on Feb. 02, 2017 in our college. In this competition students participated in Flower Pot Making, Pen Stand and Show Piece items. Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur gave prizes to the position holders.

On March 04,2017, VIII Annual Athletic Meet was organized by Sports Club under the guidance of Sports In charge Ms. Kiranjeet Kaur. Dr. satinder Kaur was the chief guest. Students participated 100mtr. race, Shot- Put, Discus Throw, Potato Race ,Sack Race, Three Legged Race, Obstacle Race. Laxmi Bai House was the winner of Tug of War and Sarojini Naidu House was on second position. Manpreet Kaur was Best Athlete and Sapna Bala was was Runner-Up.

Festival of colour Holi was celebrated with colours and flowers in college campus by Hindi Association on March11,2017 . Principal Dr. satinder Kaur told the significance and traditional value of Holi and prayed to God to fulfill their lives with each and every expected color of life.

On April 04,2017 one day yoga camp was organized by Sports Club incharge Ms. Kiranjeet Kaur . Yog acharya Gurtej Singh performed different poses and told students about the advantages of Yogasanas and Pranayam. Students gained a lot of knowledge from this camp.

Oath Taking ceremony of Voters was organized under Sveep Activities by Nodal Officer Kiranjeet Kaur on Jan.10,2017.

On Jan. 24,2017, Vaada Pattar writing was organized in the guidance of Nodal Officer Kiranjeet Kaur under Sveep activities.

On Jan. 25,2017, Essay writing competition was organized in the guidance of Nodal Officer Kiranjeet Kaur under Sveep activities. Payal Goyal got first position, Daljeet Kaur got second and Veerpal Kaur got third position in this competition.

Farewell function was organized by B.Ed. I year and M.A. Edu. I year students for their seniors. In this function, College Management Committee's Chairman Sh. Labh Ram Sharma and other committee members were the special guests. Students performed singing and dancing items. Miss. M.M.C.E. 2017 contest was organized. Students' performance was remarkable. Daljeet Kaur (1024) was the winner of this contest and Payal Goyal (1001) was runner-up. Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur gave her best wishes to final year students for exams and their bright future.
